SACH Festival of Colors

On a gorgeous spring afternoon that was picture perfect, residents of Hopkinton and surrounding towns got together to celebrate Holi, the spring festival of colors. The event called ‘Rang Holi’ was organized by the South Asian Circle of Hopkinton and hosted at Weston nurseries.

Spring is a time of the year that we all look forward to as we get to enjoy the warm weather in the beautiful outdoors while catching up with old friends and making new ones. There could not have been a better event than Rang Holi to ring in the warm weather and to bring the community together to connect and celebrate.



Folks from Hopkinton and surrounding towns got together to celebrate Holi by throwing around colors, dancing to the catchy Bollywood songs played by DJ Mahesh and by also enjoying yummy Indian food from Mirchi, based in Franklin. As folks were mingling around and playing with colors, there was a dance flash mob that brought a group of dancers together which then in turn pulled the entire crowd to dance to popular Bollywood songs.


It was amazing to see people getting together as a community to share this experience with each other. On a beautiful spring afternoon, it seemed like SACH managed to create an experience that felt like a slice of utopia in our own beautiful little town of Hopkinton.

SACH hosted a Holiday gala after a gap of 2 years. A large group of nearly 250~ attendees, including children of different age groups came together. We hugged old friends, made new ones and celebrated Diwali as one big community! Hopkinton Lights Up As One: Festival of Light 2025 Thank you to all who participated in ‘Festival of Light’ event on Dec 6th, 2025 at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts and for Hopkinton Freedom Team for organizing and collaborating with us in this beautiful event! People of all age groups participated in this wonderful town wide event. SACH, in collaboration with other organizations including Hopkinton Chinese American Association, brought together different communities who came to learn about the significance of Light in world cultures, festivals and faiths in celebrating the Holidays together.  Families and children participated in lamp painting, latern making crafts and trying different ethnic snacks and treats. It provided for a fun experience for families, neighbors and friends on a relaxing Saturday morning.

Young Women in STEM - SACH Scholarship awards 2024

SACH offers scholarships to 2 students: an aspiring aerospace engineer and a future neurologist.  This year’s scholarship program ‘Young women in STEM’ was awarded to 2 passionate students who graduated from Hopkinton High School this summer and will be heading to study at Duke University and Dartmouth college.  Congratulations to both students!  “I want to discover. I want to push the limits of knowledge. I find the unknown of the universe captivating, and I want to create something that brings us one step closer to understanding. But how to do so? Aerospace engineering. I will continue my education at Dartmouth, studying a dual-degree program of mechanical engineering and physics, then attend a highly ranked aerospace school like UIUC or University of Washington.
