South Asian Circle Of Hopkinton

SACH on behalf the Residents of Hopkinton stand in solidarity with the Islamic community. On behalf of the entire Community of Hopkinton, SACH conveyed support to the Islamic Community in light of the recent tragic events in New Zealand and presented the 'Peace' Canvas. Nearly 30+ residents of Hopkinton from different backgrounds and faiths submitted messages of unity and peace in support of the Islamic community. SACH took those submissions and composed them into a 'Peace' Canvas. The 'Peace' Canvas which has the composition and design elements of a prayer mat, carries messages of hope and strength from the Hopkinton community and will be hung in the prayer room from where the service is conducted.  "We're gathered here as citizens of 'One Hopkinton' and we stand in solidarity with our neighbors. Community Outreach event at Weston Nurseries SACH sold Chai, cookies and samosas at Winter Farmer's Market at Weston Nurseries. It was a pleasure getting to meet Hopkinton residents and visitors of the Farmer's Market. It was a gratifying community event for SACH in a beautiful setting surrounded by greenery in the new greenhouse at Weston Nurseries. SACH was happy to receive Selectman candidate Shahidul Mannan and his wife Nasiba who dropped by to try our chai and samosas. SACH had put out a great menu and was sold out early. Thank you to all patrons who enjoyed the menu, we were able to raise  $365,  all of which will go towards funding the Boy Scouts dinner that we are organizing on June 15th. What is this series about? 'Did you know' series is a cultural education series created and organized by SACH in collaboration with the Hopkinton Public Library. It showcases different aspects about South Asia throughout the course of the year including festivals, culture, history, geography and other fun facts. This includes a small window display, a short literature in the form of a poster and related book suggestions pertaining to the subject being showcased if available at the library or other online resources.
